Life is improving! Paul was declared healed by his doctor on October 16. It’s
been a long time since July 8, but worth the wait and healing that has taken place on his left leg.
I was released on Friday, November 1 by my Occupational Therapist to drive. It
felt natural to be back behind the wheel. Today I actually went out by myself to
shop. Huge steps forward. I have worked very hard with my therapy in order to
get here. I cannot afford to get lazy. At this stage, we are now scheduled to leave
for Congo on December 8.
Paul and I appreciate the many prayers that have gone toward Heaven for us.
We have felt the prayers and know the Lord has answered them.
I do have another prayer request. In 2008, I broke my right wrist for the first time
and the doctor put in a plate at that time. When I fell on August 16, breaking this
wrist again, the plate was bent. The doctor felt it was not necessary to do
any surgery.
I am continuing to have difficulties when it comes to writing again. I can hardly write any more. I can sign my name if I do it slowly. I would enjoy being able to write if it is the Lord’s will so your prayers would be appreciated.
We are excited to be getting ready to return to Congo very soon.
-Marty (and Paul too)
