We greet you from the DR Congo where opportunities for ministry and witness abound, and where the nation we love is currently struggling to find a way to democratically change leadership. It has been an incredibly busy and productive season for us and here are a few highlights.
- We’ve installed a well that is producing pure water where we are helping to build an orphanage with friends from Columbus, Ohio. This is the 6th well that we have installed and we plan to do many more in the years ahead. The wells provide such a basic need and contribute to public health!
- It was wonderful to see the excitement of our Annual Conference delegates when we were able to transport them to the meeting and back home this ear for the first time in more than 40 years! It took 11 truckloads altogether and was quite an undertaking. As you can see, the delegates didn’t travel in luxury, but they were thrilled nonetheless!
- Marty has begun her children’s ministry again for this year amidst much excitement and some chaos. The children are thrilled to be back in class and they began with 957 attending in 6 classes the first week. She expects that number to increase as the word gets out and others return to classes.
- We are pushing hard to finish up the road projects that we began last year. Finances have been a challenge and have hindered us, but we are making good progress. Everyone is impressed and pleased. The wetlands have always been plagued with huge mud holes, but it is now covered with a thick layer of laterite material! This is the best road possible short of pavement.
A consistent Christian witness and the faithful proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are touching and changing lives in the heart of Africa.

Paul and Marty Law
