October 2013

There was great excitement at Lodja when I finally arrived at 5:30 p.m. on September 29th with our new airplane! This is the one that the Prime Minister of the Congo decided to give back to us for the supervision of our road work throughout the central part of the country.

My first trip out of Lodja with the new plane was to Kamina on October 2nd. I left Lodja at 9:30 and arrived in Kamina at 12:30 p.m. We left immediately to visit the road and try to see how we can strategize to rehabilitate this important section of national road #1. What a challenge! I can’t estimate how many large mud puddles there are, besides the washouts and deviations. I am amazed that any traffic can travel the road at all, but they do, and with large trucks loaded to the hilt with cargo and passengers! I returned to Lodja October 6th after doing +750 kilometers by road!

God is very good and we are blessed. The work is progressing on all of our projects and I plan to visit the Kabinda road this week. After that I will go to Mashala and then to Boende. The reports from each project are encouraging that the crews are making progress.

Thank you for your prayers and support. By God’s grace we are making a difference in this land, together.

In His Love,
Paul and Marty Law
