Update from Paul and Marty Law

July 3, 2008

Dear Friends,

Life has been full and very busy these last months. Paul has been in the
States and was there during the General Conference of the United Methodist
Church. Then last week he was able to load a 20' ocean container with the
help of several volunteers from Asbury UMC in Raleigh, NC and Leon Parisoe
of our home office. It will be leaving the States on July 5th. It has taken
almost two years to collect the equipment and supplies and to get ready to
ship. It all only makes us more dependent on Him and shows us His
faithfulness.

I have been in the States taking care of my parents and getting them
settled into a nursing home.

We have traveled a bit and God has provided help with my children's
ministry. I am excited about it because it has been in my heart to train
young Congolese to go into the out villages on bicycles to share the Bible
stories by felt.

Paul and I arrived back in the Congo last night and we were planning to
fly to Lodja on Friday. However, we received word this afternoon that my
Father passed away! We are now returning immediately to the States. Our
travel agent is trying to get us the best tickets that she can. This is a
very busy time of year so it is a challenge for her. Please help us pray for
this need.

If all goes as we hope, the service for my Father, Rev. Paul Stoneking, a
retired UMC pastor, will be held next Saturday, July 12th at Best and West
Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. in Nicholasville, KY.

My Father is no longer bed fast but is now running the streets of gold
with a new body. He was almost 89 in earthly years but now is youthful in
Heavenly years. I am relieved that he is no longer suffering.

Pray for us as we return and make plans and for the jet lag we will
experience. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

Blessings, Marty and for Paul, too
