Updates from Paul and Marty Law - February 2008

Dear Friends,

Today was another wonderful day for us here as the freight flight that came
in today brought us the new sawmill engine that we have been waiting for
more than a year. With the unloading of the container, my brother David very
helpfully took the engine and sent it to me by air freight last week. We had
decided to pay the extra and get it here so that I could begin working on
lumber for all the projects and needs that we have.

I got back to the house with it around 12:30 PM and we began immediately to
put it on the sawmill. I took time for a quick lunch and we went back to
work. At 2:30 when it was time to end the work day, my helpers asked if I
was willing to keep working until we got it running. About 3 hours later
with everything installed we pumped gasoline into the line, pulled the choke
and to our great satisfaction it fired instantly when I engaged the starter.
Another hour allowed us to fine tune the idle and acceleration settings. How
wonderful to have it at last.

Next we need to align the mill and get it ready to saw. People are coming
from all around here asking if I will come buy logs from them to produce the
lumber we need. There seems to be no lack of supply.

I thought that you all might want to know about this additional step forward
for us so that you could share in our joy. Thank you all again for your
prayers and support that make it possible for us to move forward a little at
a time.
