Updates from Paul and Marty Law

Dear Praying Friends,

We have been thoroughly enjoying being back home at Lodja. We have been loving all of the tropical fruits that are in season right now. We have the best of pineapples, mangos, bananas, papayas, avocados and temwemwehs (do not know anything like them in the states) and lemons. Yummm. Wonderful!

We are again adjusting to life in the interior like cooking on a woodstove, no indoor plumbing and having our clothes taken to the stream to
be washed by hand and dried on a line; ironed with a charcoal iron.

I have my first Children's Bible Class this afternoon. We will probably have about 130 or so. It will be from about 4-6:30 our time and Kentucky time it will be 10 A.M.-12:30 P.M. This will included the Bible story in Felt, singing, scripture memory, coloring and games outside of the church. Please remember us as we begin and that His word will not return void.

Please remember us to the Father. Marty

Dear Praying Friends,

The day of our arrival in Congo was Oct. 4 and on that day a plane bound
for the interior crashed on take off from Kinshasa. The plane was a Russian antinov and was the next day grounded from flying passengers. Antinov's with freight were allowed to continue to fly.

We arrived last Friday in Lodja and are thrilled to be back at our place
of ministry. Guess how we flew? Yes, on a Russian antinov. Ultimately, our
trust and faith have to be in the Lord and His love and His mercy and in His goodness to us and in His watchful care.

Aunt Bobbie, 79, is adjusting well and is a trooper. She has reminisced
how backward the country has gone since she first arrived way back in 1951. Pray that the Lord will use her mightily and keep her safe. She has already impressed folks with ability in speaking Otetela. She's great.

We are still trusting the Lord for the rest of the provision needed to
clear the vehicle at customs. Will you help us?

Please keep us in your prayers,
Marty for the team

Dear Praying Friends,

Our missing baggage was found and is now in our possession!
Paul has started the process of paying customs and importing the
vehicle. God has provided one half of the customs. Praise Him!
Now, how do we get to Lodja? We await Him!

Thanks for your prayers,
Marty

Dear Friends,

We have arrived safely! However, four of our six pieces of baggage are
missing. We have one half of a new chain saw, only some of the Betty Lukens materials for the children, etc. Ahhh, the adventures of Congo continue! There was a plane crash taking off from Kinshasa Thursday hours before our arrival. As a result, there are NO longer any planes flying into Lodja-now how to get to Lodja?

Paul is rethinking again about bringing in the vehicle by paying the
customs. Otherwise, we might lose it. The necessary paper work that needed to be done toward the container to stop the storage fees months ago has NOT been done. We could become discouraged.

Rms 12:2 Be comformed no longer to the pattern of this world (fleshly
thinking and dispare) but be tranformed by the renewing of your mind
(spiritual thinking and faith and hope!) PLEASE we NEED your faithful prayers. We cannot do this alone!

Stand with us.

Marty and for Paul, too

P.S. to update!

Please no blogs, no forwards, no attachments and no pictures. Thanks, Marty

Dear Friends and Family,

It has been a terrific two months stateside. Thank you.

When you receive this we will be on our way back to DR Congo. We arrive tomorrow evening around 8 Kinshasa time (3 PM KY time.) Pray for our safety and baggage arrival. We are excited!

Please remember to keep my elderly parents, our children and grandchildren in your prayers. We pray that their guardian angels will watch over them during our absence.

'Parting is such sweet sorrow.' We know the meaning as it is sorrowful to say 'good-bye' to family and friends yet it is 'sweet' to be returning to our beloved Congo.

In Brussels, we will be meeting up with 'Aunt' Bobbie Johnson who will be serving with us for almost six months.

Blessings on all,

Marty and for Paul, too
